 Ministry At Work

Ministry of the Arts is one of several sponsored ministries of the Congregation of St. Joseph and is located in the La Grange Center near Chicago. It came to be a few years after our annual Calendar was first shared with friends and family by the artist, Mary Southard in a one-page flyer in the early 80’s . The Sisters of St. Joseph have fostered creativity since their beginnings as “lace-makers” in Le Puy France in the mid-17th century. So, the addition of music, sculptures and cards came quite naturally to their artists and through the years grew into a catalog began flourishing as a full ministry. Our vision has been to bring hope and healing to the world through the Arts. We share this in the products we create and through books, music and other items we offer that often become resources for our customers in their own ministries and personal use. We are blessed with a "circle of unity"where all the parts work together: collaborative artists, writers, editors, operators, shippers, printers, designers, administration, volunteers and You, our customers.
We collaborate also with The Well, a CSJ retreat ministry and publish their children’s books and an Ilia Delio DVD (Search TW at our website.) We speak with you, read your letters, share your dreams and know a little of how this ministry is being used in your life. We are filled with gratitude!
