This Joseph was the model for the life-size Joseph sculptures installed at CSJ Centers and the St. Joseph Reginal Medical Center in 2007. He has become a symbol of the Congregation's movement "forward" and "dreaming the dream..."
Sculpture is 11-1/2" and is cast in DuraStone with a hand-brushed, deep bronze patina.
Also available in a newer Golden-Silver finish, cast in DuraStone and 11.5 inches.
And introduced in 2014, "Little Joseph" is in the Golden-Silver finish, a smaller version for desk or bookshelf.
He’s already found a home in our hearts and is a thoughtful reminder of St. Joseph and also the “Journey” that we're all on together. “Little Joe” can also be mounted for a recognition award.
All three versions of "Joseph on the Journey were sculpted by Mary Southard, CSJ.
She reflects, An image of St. Joseph – one who is deeply engaged in the adventure of life, always ready for the journey, always caring, always “yes.” Joseph who dreams and lives the dream, who follows his heart into Love, into Mystery. (A copy of her reflection is included with the sculpture.)
