Ministry of the Arts (MOTA) is a ministry sponsored by the Congregation of Saint Joseph. We are located in La Grange Park, IL and came into being a few years after our annual Calendar was first advertised on a one-page flyer in 1986. By 1994 there were cards, music, and sculptures published in a catalog format and we began to experience a growing ministry. Our vision has been to bring hope and healing to the world through the Arts. We are now excited to share that MOTA is continually growing and has transitioned our business model and artwork to digital offerings. We, along with our sister artists, are passionate about the transformative power of art to inspire positive change in hearts, minds, and the world. By going digital, we are able to make our artwork more widely accessible to people everywhere through technology. All of our artwork is available to you at either no cost or for a minimal fee.

The Congregation of St. Joseph affirms the power of the arts to heal, bring beauty, transform consciousness, and serve as an agent for justice and systemic change. We believe the arts express the universal human experience and recognize the arts comfort us, amplify our voices, and call us to contemplation and action.

Therefore, on behalf of the Congregation’s mission of unity, recognizing the sacredness of all creation, we offer our gifts of music, art, and word to the world. It is our hope they will service as a catalyst for the rising up of greater love, unity, justice and community wherever they find a home.
